Updating Firmware

Updating the firmware in the Pro-100 / 160 / 360 controllers requires two things;

1] A uSD card [micro SD card].

2] The firmware file that you wish to load into the controller.

Let’s start with the uSD card. This needs to be 64 GB or less, and must be formatted to FAT 32. You need to create a folder called UPDATE (in capitals) at the root of the card.

Now for the firmware. Due to the various hardware changes that occur from time to time as we improve the products, we need to know what version of firmware you already have. You can find this in the System > About > Version section of the menu.

Once we know this, then we can provide you with a new version that is guaranteed to work correctly with your hardware – please don’t try to mix and match – it’s possible to destroy controllers if it goes wrong. We usually deliver the new firmware via Dropbox, once we know what version you have, we’ll send you a link to where the new firmware is stored. You then need to download and copy this file (FIRMWARE.IMG) into the UPDATE folder on the uSD card.

Insert the card into the card reader on the controller, switch on and navigate to the Update Firmware option from the System menu. The controller will make a back-up of the old firmware, and then load the new firmware into the controller. When it has finished it will display “Complete”, and then re-start.

In the unlikely event of the display freezing during the update, wait for at least 30 seconds, then switch off and on again.
