We were asked if it was possible to have dual joystick controls on the Pro-160 / 360 to allow interior and exterior helm positions on an electric launch installation.
This diagram shows how we did it.
The Pro-360 was set to joystick profile with volt mode selected, we increased the deadband value to 20.
To make sure that each joystick would give 100% forward and reverse we first used pot learn in conjunction with the joystick selector switch to;
1] Make sure the zero value of each joystick was the same by slackening the screws holding the hall sensor on the rear of the joysticks and rotating them slightly until both gave the same value.
2] Select the lower of the max forward values, and then the higher of the max reverse values from the pair of joysticks.
