Interference suppression kits
The interference suppression kit has ferrite rings which are suitable for cable up to 15mm diameter.
Water resistant coating
This is a high performance acrylic coating which is applied by hand after we have tested and assembled your controller. It doesn’t mean you can take it swimming, but it does make the controller a lot more resistant to splashes and high levels of humidity. We recommend this option if you are fitting to a boat, or to a golf cart due to the spray from the wheels on wet grass.
Spare IDC pack
The PRO-360 controller comes with a set of IDC plugs to connect to the available sockets. These are a one time crimp fit onto the wires and are crimped by using a pair of parallel jaw pliers. It can be useful to have spare connectors in case more than one fitting is needed.
The standard set is 1*6 way IDC (control), 2*5 way (auxiliary inputs), 1*4 way (RC/variable regen), 1*3 way IDC (brake), 2*2 way IDC (BEC/contactor)
The spare IDC pack has 2*6 way IDCs (control), 1*5 way (auxiliary input), 1*4 way (RC/variable regen), 1*3 way IDC (brake), 1*2 way IDC (BEC/contactor)
Note that if 4QD external temperature sensors are to be fitted, a 4 way IDC connector is supplied with the sensor.
Heatsinks
The Pro-360 is fitted as standard with a flat aluminium plate heatsink which we have found to be adequate for the majority of applications. But there are two circumstances where it may be appropriate to consider fitting some extra cooling. 1] Where the ambient temperature around the controller is around 40’C, in this case consider fitting this air cooled heatsink, possibly in conjunction with a fan as described here. 2] Where the load is expected to be above 150A for sustained periods [10 minutes+] consider fitting this liquid cooled heatsink.
