4QD, Pro and VTX Series motor speed controllers
typical wiring with Dual Channel Interface

Pro and NCC

The diagram shows a typical wiring diagram for two VTX or NCC series controllers with a Dual Channel Interface (DCI-111). Wiring of the Pro-120 controller is identical. The DCI comes with instructions which repeat this information and add to it.

The diagram shows only the interface and pots: power and battery wiring for each controller is as shown in Pro Series wiring

Dci

The 6 way (and 3 way) connectors are supplied and are connected simply by inserting the wires (which also is supplied).

Of course there are many options available: we show a link for ignition but you will may want a keyswitch for this. The pots are standard 10K linear, such as POT-103. Dci4qd

4QD Series

Use with the 4QD series is nearly as simple: all you require is a slight change in the interconnecting wires, as shown right.

The inhibit wire shown does not need to be used but it can be useful in initial setting up: when connected to the green wire and released it will reset the High Pedal Lockout which can otherwise cause some confusion.

The 4QDs should of course be switched to single ended mode, not to Joystick mode as the centre zero control is done in the DCI.
