Radio Control systems

4QD's radio control interfaces work with most radio control systems, but there are some systems which have special considerations. Many of these are high-spec devices which have a pulse frequency higher than the 70hZ the DMR and SMR will accept as standard.

The software can be changed to accept these radio systems - however as there are few in use we currently feel that, as this will slightly compromise the failsafe operation, the change is not sensible on standard units. Contact us if you have any comments on this.

This page can never be exhaustive and we will add to it (slowly) as information reaches us!

Here we will list radio control systems that are known to work, and also those where there are known problems.

The following controllers work 'straight out of the tin'.

The following radio control systems have special considerations.

Sanwa Super Exzes
The pulse repetition rate of this is around 75Hz - well above the usual 50Hz. This is outside the acceptance range of the standard interfaces so is rejected as being an error signal.
The software in the interfaces can be changed to accept these controllers.
Futaba 3VC 40 MHz
Is reported not to work by one user. No details yet (7th July 2004)
Futaba FP-R138DP
