The 2QD circuit board is designed to be assembled in two ways - with or without regenerative braking. This page details the changes between the two versions.
The change is extremely simple and the two components to be altered are indicated in the diagram with a red and a blue arrow.

Both resistors are 10K.
For the standard version the blue arrowed resistor is present and the red arrowed resistor is absent.
To disable regen braking remove the blue arrowed resistor and fit the red arrowed resistor.
It's as simple as that!
