4QD Secure server
Use with non listed items

Introduction

Secure checkouts are designed for use with shopping baskets and it is therefore generally difficult to use them unless you are buying something from the shopping cart. However there are occasions when customers wish to pay for something that is not listed in the on-site price-list. This page describes how to pass the checkout with an 'empty' basket, so you may still use the secure server to pass your address and credit card details to us.

Checking out with an empty cart

1. Click on the link at the bottom of this list to Add 'UnListed Product' to your shopping basket.
   If you <SHIFT> click it, it should open the shopping basket in a new window so you can read the rest of these instructions.
2. Click on 'Check out now': the button is at in the centre below the form.
3. Enter your Address and contact details.
4. Click on 'Enter card details' button at bottom.
   If you haven't entered a Required field, you will be asked for the correction.
   Otherwise you will receive a 'Checking out' page confirming your existing details.
5. Enter your card details at the bottom of this page.
6. Click on 'Proceed to final confirmation' to go to the final page.
7. Use the 'Special requests' section to say what you are paying for e.g.
   • Green Bottom booking for week no.
   • Repair: job number:
   • Or other order details, preferably formatted as described below (but that's entirely optional!).
8. Ignore any pricing details: the service or item you are paying for is unlisted, so the automatic pricing cannot get it right, it will require (and will get) attention from a human.
9. Click on 'Submit my order to 4QD': the button at the bottom, when you have finished.

Order format

As long as the 'Special requests' bit is human readable, it does not have to be in a special format. So if you are paying for a repair, or booking our holiday cottage at Green Bottom the rest of this section is not relevant.

Otherwise - it will help us if you can format your order so it can be processed automatically. You can only do this if you know the order code of the item you require, but you will probably have contacted us by email so should have been quoted this.

Items required should be one per line, with the order code in inverted commas, then 3 commas and then the quantity required. So the order might look this:
