Fuses and Fuse holders

20mm fuses and holders

A transparent, screw-together, in-line fuseholder, for control circuits. Controllers already have a 'fuse track' on board to protect them against faults in your wiring. However you may prefer to fit a fuse in the wiring.

Fuseh20mm

Has screw terminals inside to connect to wire up to 2.5mm2. Rating 10 amps continuous. Supplied with 1.0 amp fuse.

Blade fuses and holders (automotive type)

A blade type fuse holder that connects via 6.3mm push-on connectors. Suitable for reverse polarity protection with most systems.

The diagram shows a holder with fuse fitted (order separately).

Bladeholder

These fuse holders snap together to form a bank and a mounting plate is available, on to which the first fuseholder in the bank will fit.
However, when used with crimps fully insulated with boots, our type FCR-604 they are fully insulated and in most applications may simply be left floating as in-line fuses.

Holder is conservatively rated at 30 amps continuous. 25 amp fuse is typically adequate protection for Uni-4 or NCC-35 when the battery is reversed.

Available with pre-crimped leads - order the required fuse(s) separately.

Self-Resetting fuses

Fsr

We fit these fuses during service when a controller is returned with only a fuse track blown. They are in fact a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) resistor that suddenly increases in resistance when a high current flows (fault conditions) and overheats it. When the current reduces, the device cools down and resets.

Recommended if you want to protect against control wiring faults and cannot repair a blown fuse track on board.
Trip current 1.8a max
Reset current0.9a max
Max operating voltage70v

12mm disc with leads to solder across blown fuse (track).
